This privacy policy explains how Skeena Couture ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit, interact with or make a purchase on skeenacouture.ca (the "Website"), or when you otherwise communicate with us about our services (together, the "Services").
This policy has been prepared in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
1. Who is responsible for your information

2. What information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, address, phone number and email address.
- Order details: billing and shipping address, payment confirmations.
- Account details: login, password and security questions.
- Customer service messages: the content of your correspondence with us.
Information we collect automatically
We collect certain technical information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information and how you interact with the Website.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from Shopify, our payment providers (including Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay) and our analytics and advertising partners.
3. Why we use your information
As PIPEDA and PIPA require, we collect, use and share your personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, and with your consent where the law calls for it:
- Fulfilling your order: processing your orders, payments and deliveries, and managing your customer account. By placing an order, you consent to this use.
- Running and protecting our business: preventing fraud, keeping the Website secure, improving the Services and understanding how they are used.
- Marketing, with your consent: sending you news and offers, and setting non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Meeting our legal obligations: keeping the records required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws.
4. Cookies
We use cookies to run, optimize, analyze and personalize the Website. Non-essential cookies (including marketing and analytics cookies) are only set once you give your consent through our cookie banner. You can change your preferences or delete cookies through your browser at any time.
5. Sharing your personal information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers (IT, payment, shipping partners such as Canada Post, and customer service) under agreements that require them to protect your information

Whenever this happens, we rely on contractual safeguards that require those providers to protect your information to a standard comparable to Canadian privacy law, although it may also be subject to the laws of the country where it is stored.
7. How long we keep your information
- Order and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the tax year they relate to, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
- Customer account: kept for as long as your account is active and deleted after 3 years of inactivity.
- Marketing: 2 years after our last contact with you, or until you withdraw your consent.
- Cookies: no longer than 13 months.
8. Your rights
Under PIPEDA and PIPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Request deletion of your personal information, where we are not required by law to keep it
- Ask us to limit how we use your personal information
- Receive a copy of the information you have given us in a commonly used format
- Object to certain uses of your information, including direct marketing
- Withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
